Job description
Job Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection, is responsible for overseeing and directing the daily operations of the Engineering department. This individual contributor role requires a highly organized and proactive individual who is able to lead a team of engineers and ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The Engineering Supervisor must have strong technical skills and a working knowledge of relevant tools and equipment, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Engineering department, including the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all equipment.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks for the engineering team, ensuring timely completion of all projects and assignments.
- Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt response and resolution to any maintenance or repair requests.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance, and inventory of equipment.
- Monitor and manage the department budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely procurement of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in technology, implementing new systems and practices as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong technical skills and working knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
