Job description
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR
The City of Port Wentworth Department of Public Works is currently seeking qualified applicants for CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR. Qualified applicants must have knowledge of public works construction practices, inspection principles, and government construction standards. Qualified applicants must be skilled in reading and interpreting engineering plans, blueprints, specifications, survey records, legal descriptions, tract descriptions, and preparing clear and precise administrative reports.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary ranging from $45,000-$57,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications. The City offers a generous benefits package including 100% medical coverage for employees and families, GMA pension participation, and life insurance. The chosen applicant will be required to submit to an extensive background check, and physical examination.
