Overview :We are excited to announce the J.Jill Corporate focused Internship Program,our summer 2024 internship which is a 10 week paid internship program running from June through August. This program is a full-time summer commitment.
This program is designed to give rising juniors and seniors an opportunity to gain hands on insight and knowledge within a specialty Retail Company. Interns will participate in daily business activities in their assigned department while having the opportunity to learn about the company overall. Interns will also be able to learn from J. Jill’s senior leaders.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Design Intern to assist the team in key stages throughout the design process, from initial design research to final product approval. As a design intern, you will join the team in design research, fittings, and working with cross-functional teams on special projects.
Responsibilities :Conduct design and market research
Assist with sketching and CAD line sheet updates in Illustrator
Support the creation of garment construction pages and tech packs
Participate in fittings
Organize samples for key meetings
Attend key milestone meetings
Qualifications :Working toward a Degree in Fashion Design or related field
Passionate about design and knowledge of current fashion trends
Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates ability to work well as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Able to take direction and work independently on projects
Proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop
Knowledge of the J.Jill customer & product is a plus
