Salary Range: Classification Range $3,713 - $7,149 per month(Hiring range depending on qualifications, not anticipated to exceed $3,713 - $4,200 per month)
Appointment Type: Temporary
Time Base: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; This is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2025, with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.

About the Position:

The Division of Information Technology (IT) strives to be a strategic, innovative and best-in-class IT organization that provides a leading-edge technology environment for students, faculty and staff to advance the University's mission, vision and goals. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our IT-Development and App Support team as the Information Technology Consultant - Foundation (Information Technology Consultant). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Information Technology Consultant - Foundation works directly under the supervision of the Director of Development and Application Support. Designs web database applications and develops, migrates, and supports the College of Education (COE)'s Website/Web Applications such as Secondary Teacher Education Program (SECTEP), Multi-Subject Credential Program (MSCP), Special Education Assessment Program (SPED) web application, and COE database. Primarily focuses on managing, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting the database, web, and application servers for College of Education systems. As a web developer, creates, updates, and maintains campus and college web pages while ensuring consistency with the overall campus web presence and compliance requirements such as Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) / Payment Card Industry (PCI). Implements security measures and ensures the proper functioning of web and database applications. Actively participates in web application design by incorporating the latest industry security measures and adhering to best practices. Assists the Development and Application Support staff with system/database application support and testing for campus-wide projects. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Telecommunications, Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field or four years relevant full-time experience or an associates degree in a related field with two years of relevant full-time experience.

Basic knowledge of the specialty work area demonstrated by an understanding and use of general principals and terminology. Demonstrated understanding of the standard technology and systems in place with the capability of supporting and operating the technology. Ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes, and refer to appropriate party for resolution. Ability to solve problems where precedents exist, and acquire knowledge in related specialties. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IIS administration. Experience with SQL Server administration and development. Knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC, WEB API, and REST Architecture. Understanding Software Development Life Cycle. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). Experience in OmniCMS web content management system. Experience working in a higher education setting.
