Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am-6pm

About Us

Job Summary


This position provides administrative office support, secretarial support and lab support.


Essential Functions


50% - Provides administrative support to the Nursing Department; maintains academic records/files; provides front desk office reception; manages multi-line phone system; assists with the administrative assistants in maintaining and organizing records and files - hard copies and virtually. Monitors and coordinates services such as maintenance, media, printing, and word monitoring and maintenance assists with department mail pick up and distribution.

35% - Supports residential and adjunct Nursing Department faculty by collaborating with faculty and other staff when needed/requested, delivers supplies to instructors and classrooms; makes copies of course materials; posters for classrooms, provides basic computer-related fax and copier support; assists with development of promotional materials, Assists the lab supervisor with organizations in the Nursing skills lab and simulation lab; Assists the Department Chair with responsibilities including but not limited to being available during meetings, department events, etc.

15% - Other duties as directed by the Department Chair

Minimum Qualifications


High School diploma or equivalent GED certificate Or An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience asdescribed above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Special Working Conditions


Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License may be required for some assignments.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of forcefrequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment.
