Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire a Sr. Business Development Manager to support efforts across the DoD business unit. This role will be responsible for leading business development activities and supporting winning proposals. The Senior Business Development Manager will create Business Development plans, interact with potential customer(s) and industry partners, qualify opportunities, and support proposal activities. The candidate will generally support business development for opportunities greater than $50M and associated with one or many of the following functional areas: Cyber Security, eDiscovery, application modernization, software development, cloud enablement, advisory services, program management and oversight support, and data analytics. The Senior Business Development Manager will also be responsible for managing a few captures for major Air Force and Defense opportunities

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Vice President and works with Capture Management and Business Units to identify and qualify opportunities and grow the pipeline within our Department of Defense portfolio, including agencies within the “4th Estate”.• Leads development and implementation of the development plan encompassing all elements leading to a win.• Forms and leads cross-functional opportunity business development for targets that are in pre-capture phases.• Engages support from corporate resources to support Opportunity development including Graphics, Marketing, Contracts, Recruiting, and Pricing.• Identifies requirements for capture team members & sets their objectives, grooming the backlog of tasks to ensure timely completion.• Leads customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution generation.• Leads partnering / teaming strategy and engagement with the team throughout the business development lifecycle.• Work with the stakeholder management and keeps the Leadership Team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution.• Supports the customer relationship management strategy and engages senior executives in contact activity.• Leads Blue Team, Black Hat and gate reviews for opportunities assigned • Expected to lead 2-3 concurrent opportunities through the capture process, in addition to business development responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience directly related to Government Contracting IT Business Development or Capture Management • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting DoD customers with an emphasis on Air Force, and/or 4th Estate agencies; retired/separated Air Force personnel or former Air Force civil service meet this requirement • Successful experience leading business development or capture teams in pursuit of proposal efforts greater than $50M• Successful past performance developing customer relationships, developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and leading business development efforts.• Experience working with technical teams to develop and evolve win strategies, key offer elements, competitive discriminators and resulting win themes.• Strong briefing and writing skills.• Must have in-depth knowledge of the Federal government acquisition and budgeting processes as well as the FAR and its supplements.

Desired:

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related or 10+ years of equivalent industry or military experience

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
