Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a Traffic Analyst in Greenville, South Carolina. The selected candidate(s) will support our growing local and national practice and work directly with industry-leading transportation engineers. Preferred candidates will have a passion for traffic engineering with a background in civil engineering. Candidates must be willing to travel and ideally have a valid driver’s license.
Stantec’s local Transportation Engineering Team encompasses the disciplines of Traffic Impact Studies, Corridor Studies, Safety Studies, Transportation Planning, Traffic Analysis, and Signal Design. The Team is involved in the analysis of a wide variety of transportation projects such as interstate widening, arterial widening, intersection improvements, roundabouts, complete streets, signal system upgrades, signal timing, and bicycle / pedestrian projects. These projects will offer you the opportunity to experience a broad range of professional experience. Above all, the successful candidate will be organized, highly self-motivated and curious, have a friendly, professional demeanor, and be able to multitask, ask questions, and learn from feedback. Position(s) will be full-time during the summer months.
Your Key Responsibilities May Include
Working primarily in the Traffic Analysis disciplines.
Gather project data.
Support the production of traffic engineering reports.
Perform site visits as needed.
Observe and attend meetings with Stantec team, and other project stakeholders.
Other related tasks as assigned.
Assist with facilitation of public outreach events
Assist with entry level planning &/or design duties, as needed
Qualifications

Self-motivated and highly organized
Strong oral and written communication skills
Comprehensive approach to challenges and problem-solving
Adaptive to new software programs and web platforms
Strong research skills and open to feedback
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Synchro, Highway Capacity Manual Software, and ITE’s Trip Generation Manual,
Education and Experience
College course work in Transportation Engineering program working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Transportation concentration or strong interest in transportation engineering is preferred.
Flexible remote or office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
