Amazing internship opportunity to gain experience in the social work field! This is an unpaid internship.

The Social Work Intern, under the direct supervision of a Licensed Behavioral Health team member (LISW, LMHC, LMFT), is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care, in coordination with the healthcare team.

The primary role of the Intern is the execution of the social work process in providing assessment and treatment planning. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosing related to focus problem areas, planning, resource education, and discharge planning. Performance of these responsibilities requires specialized knowledge and core critical thinking skills as well as excellent communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

BA level of education or higher. BA in behavioral health or social services field preferred

Must be enrolled in the final year of an accredited master’s degree program in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling

Must have completed required education and classwork to begin internship hours

Must be able to successfully complete a basic computer course through in-hospital or department training.

Must successfully complete affiliate orientation and competencies.

Must be flexible in scheduling.
