Job description
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join the team at Third Street Dental in the vibrant German Village area of Columbus, OH. As a part of the dental team, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of care and comfort for our patients. You will assist our dentist with preparation for each visit, developing X-rays, and aiding the dentist during procedures. We offer an attractive salary of $20 to $25 per hour, plus benefits, and a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus. You will get to hone your skills, learn new techniques, and develop relationships with our patients. Responsibilities:
- Greet and coordinate with patients to coordinate appointment times
- Prepare treatment rooms prior to visits with the appropriate instruments and materials
- Assist the dentist during treatments by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Take and develop X-ray pictures for patient records
- Ensure accurate completion of clinical records and notes
- Perform laboratory activities such as creating impressions, temporary crowns, and teeth whitening trays
- Assist with patient education and provide preventative oral care guidance
Qualifications:
- Provide clinical assistance to the dentist throughout treatments, such as giving supplies and materials, taking x-rays, and suctioning.
- Schedule and verify patient visits
- Set up the relevant dental instruments, materials, and medications needed for each treatment
- Accomplish laboratory procedures including casting and sculpting dental impressions
- Help with patient education and provide guidance in preventive oral care
