DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of this role, you will be responsible for conducting standardized on-road examinations to assess the skill and competence of applicants for non-commercial driver licenses. Your primary objective will be to determine the physical conditions and driving qualifications of each applicant, as well as evaluate the mechanical condition of vehicles in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Prior to administering the driving tests, you will be required to perform thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicles to ensure their safety. This includes checking for inspection stickers, lights, windshield wipers, and other mechanical features. It is crucial to ensure that the applicant has a good understanding of the vehicle controls and is aware of the safety measures. In addition to evaluating the applicants, you will also be responsible for examining applications, registrations, and permits for any signs of irregularities or potential fraud. This is an important aspect of maintaining the integrity of the licensing process. As part of your duties, you will administer both the CDL and non-CDL knowledge examinations. These tests assess the applicants' knowledge and understanding of the motor vehicle code and traffic signs. Another key aspect of this role is evaluating the practical demonstration of motor vehicle operation by the applicants. This includes assessing their ability to operate the vehicle safely and adhere to the rules of the road. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering various vision tests, such as telebinocular and color perception tests, to ensure that applicants meet the required vision standards.
