Director of Development

Kehillah Jewish High School

Location

Palo Alto, CA | United States

Job description

Working closely with our community of educators, parents, and alumni, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students. Kehillah is a place where academic excellence is valued, but equally important is our commitment to promoting character development and celebrating the unique qualities of each student. We embrace diversity in all its forms, welcoming students of various backgrounds, religious beliefs, and perspectives. Our students thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and self-discovery. As a relatively young school, we have already achieved great success, but we recognize the importance of building long-term stability through philanthropy and the establishment of an endowment.

We seek a Director of Development who shares our vision and is excited to help us further our mission of creating engaged learners and building a strong and resilient community. If you are a strategic thinker, an exceptional communicator, and have a proven track record in fundraising and relationship-building, we invite you to join us in this exciting journey. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our students and shape the future of Kehillah Jewish High School.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

We believe we best prepare our students to make the world a better place when we embrace diversity. Kehillah is committed to creating an environment where all members of our community truly value themselves and others, evoking a communal sense of belonging. We are committed to teaching students that the interconnectedness and value of all human beings also compel us to work collectively toward equity and social justice. Daily, we build a community that appreciates and celebrates differences as well as a society that empathetically confronts the ways individuals, institutions, and systems have oppressed others based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, and other aspects of identity. By clearly understanding the past and the present of these dynamics, students will develop the capacity to help create a better future for all. We acknowledge that this work is ongoing and ever-evolving.

This is a Full-Time, exempt position with full benefits starting on July 1, 2024. For the right candidate, an earlier start date may be possible. This is an in-person role with some work-from-home flexibility.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range is between $115,000 and $135,000, based on experience. Kehillah offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes free HMO medical or employer-subsidized PPO plans, free dental and vision, EAP, retirement planning, life insurance, short and long-term disability, gym membership, free lunch, and more!
