Location: Onsite, Carrollton, TX - no travel (besides close proximity to plants)
Salary: Starting at $90k-$115k+ depending on experience, education, etc.
Requirements: Experience working as a controls engineer for a beverage manufacturing company + CAD or 2D or 3D experience to maintain systems drawings
We are seeking a Beverage Manufacturing Control Engineer to help design and maintain our beverage manufacturing processes and procedures. We are one of the fastest growing companies in Dallas, developing and manufacturing Ready-To-Drink cocktails and is the number one selling ready to drink cocktail in the US. We operate various bottling lines, high speed canning lines, and assembly lines in addition to batching and logistics operations.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design, Install, Program and startup of control systems including AB PLCs and various HMIs & VFDs
- Redesign, Troubleshoot, and repair control systems to improve productivity
- Develop Preventative maintenance procedures for control systems plant wide
- Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including failure analysis, problem solving and prevention
- Participate in a continuous improvement culture while following safe workplace practices
- Utilize CAD system to maintain system drawings
- Team player, collaborative and professional
- Assist the maintenance department when needed
- Background experience in root cause analysis, problem solver
- Can adhere to company GMPs, PPEs, and safety protocols
What You Need for this Position
- Must have experience working with a beverage manufacturing company
- Must have some experience with CAD, 2D or 3D to maintain system drawings
- Must have at least 5 years understanding Ladder Logic and working with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Must have the ability to replace, install and program AB Powerflex VFDs
- Candidate should have the ability to replace Panel view Plus and download applications utilizing RSview Studio machine edition
- Working knowledge of statistical Process control methodologies
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of reading electrical schematics and prints.
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA standards.
- Must have good organizational and communication skills.
