Job description
Project Scope/Brief Description:
Provide test automation and quality assurance testing support (including manual testing as needed) for a highly-productive agile development team.
Responsibilities: - Design, document, develop and execute automation test scripts to test team's application
- Applying automated tools to support the testing of team's applications across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Collaborate closely across agile teams driving efficiency in the QA process
- Engage with other testers to help build and maintain test automation frameworks and shared solutions
- Mentor and promote automation and testing competencies in other test engineers and test analysts
Skills/Experience: Minimum Qualifications :
- 6+ years of experience in software development and testing experience covering all test types
- 4+ years of experience in automation testing with web applications
- 4+ years of experience in system integration, functional regression, load and performance testing
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience validating and verifying that software applications meet stakeholder requirements
- Experience in data extract and file comparisons
- Working knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript programming language
- Working knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server or other relational systems)
- Ability to work with test analysts to support the department Quality Assurance Team initiatives
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - Possess excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Possess technical support capabilities for test automation tools and environments
- Ability to work with test analysts to support and share quality automation initiatives
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps and Confluence
- Experience in creation and execution of SQL scripts using MS SQL Server and PL/SQL developer to validate backend data
- Familiar with qTest, MTM or similar test management tools
- Experience with test automation tools such as Test-Complete, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, and JMeter
- Working knowledge of API testing techniques and familiarity with tools, such as Postman and Jmeter
- Experience in the Agriculture industry with knowledge of plant breeding operations and data management
