Description:

The Statistician and Psychometrician provides leadership for statistical and analytic  support for research projects and other scholarly work undertaken by Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine faculty, students, and staff. They provide expertise to teams that are mentoring students on their required scholarly project, provide statistical consultation to faculty who are conducting research, and direct collaboration in developing proposals for extramural funding, and provide direct instruction to students and others on statistical methods, research design, and analytic methods in classroom and other settings outside of the formal curriculum. Methods will include, but not be limited to, those commonly utilized in clinical research and observational health services research, including multivariable modeling, causal modeling, and related methods. Data sources may include data derived from electronic health records or other administrative sources, survey data, and available national data sets.  The senior Statistician and Psychometrician may also collaborate in development of new statistical methods, alone or in collaboration with colleagues. It is expected that the successful applicant will meet the qualifications for appointment to the faculty of KPSOM at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The Statistician and Psychometrician also provide consultation to the Office of Assessment & Evaluation on testing or assessment activities across the curriculum, program evaluation and development of a system of learning analytics. In addition, the incumbent collaborates with others to ensure best practices in the development, design, and implementation of the assessment modalities used in medical education.

This role pays an estimated base salary of  $191200 - $247390 / year plus incentive pay, robust benefits and other support for those who are eligible.
