Space Debris Management (Senior/SME)

CSEngineering is looking to add Space Debris Management experts ( Senior through SME level ) to our growing team! The positions will support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command in Space Operations and Systems Engineering. Developing, reviewing, and providing expert technical advice to Space Debris Assessment Reports (SDARs), End of Life Plans (EOLPs), and other space debris-related safety documentation. Facilitating space debris technical meetings and working groups. Supporting the development of space debris tools, policies, guidance, and strategies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Developing, reviewing, and providing technical advice to Space Debris Assessment Reports (SDARs), End of Life Plans (EOLPs), and other space debris-related safety documentation.
  2. Facilitates space debris technical meetings and working groups.
  3. Leads the development of space debris tools, policies, guidance, and strategies.
  4. Facilitates meetings with stakeholders to define technology applications and design solution alternatives and facilitates cooperation among stakeholders to define technology applications.
  5. Manages the development of CONOPS and TTPs, engineering studies, and the Systems Engineering Management Plan.
  6. Leads analysis and reviews such as SRR and SFR for experimentation, integration, and operations activities.
  7. Manages operational efficiency of systems, ensuring networks are properly configured.
  8. Leads hardware deployments and software implementations, ensuring alignment with engineering plans.
  1. Plays a pivotal role in providing leadership, policy development, and technical guidance for the SSC Space Debris Management Office.
  2. Contribute to strategic decision-making, program optimization, and the resolution of client-specific or mission-critical challenges.
  3. Initiates, supervises, and develops requirements for the SSC, offering policy and guidance in the increasingly vital area of space debris management.
  4. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
  5. Conducts detailed analysis and evaluation, providing recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and maintenance efforts related to client-specific or mission-critical challenges and issues.
  6. Support the Space Debris Management Office through the development, review, and provision of expert technical advice for Space Debris Assessment Reports (SDARs), End of Life Plans (EOLPs), and other safety documentation.
  7. Facilitates technical meetings and working groups to develop space debris tools, policies, guidance, and strategies.
  8. Provide analysis to support reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRRs) and System Functional Reviews (SFRs).
  9. Maintain operational efficiency of systems while configuring networks, performing hardware deployments, and implementing software according to engineering plans.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Current Top Secret or TS /SCI or TS/SCI eligible

  1. 10+ years of technical experience developing, reviewing, and providing expert technical advice for space debris-related documentation. Extensive experience facilitating technical meetings and working groups.
  2. Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace Concentration, Electrical Engineering with Space Systems Focus, Computer Science with Space Systems Applications.
  1. 15+ years of technical experience developing, reviewing, and providing expert technical advice for space debris-related documentation. Extensive experience facilitating technical meetings and working groups.
  2. Systems Engineering experience, including AoA, cooperation facilitation, CONOPS and TTP development, engineering studies, Systems Engineering Management, and analysis support.
  3. Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace Concentration, Electrical Engineering with Space Systems Focus, Computer Science with Space Systems Applications.
  4. Certified Space Operations Professional (CSOP) in space operations, including space debris management.
  5. Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) in developing and accessing space systems and debris-related documentation.
