Ripple Effect is looking for a STEM Talent Manager to help lead our talent networking and scientific research support contracts. Primary projects include networking and recruiting for federal health clients like ARPA-H and leading biomedical research management teams for critical military medical R&D programs.

There are two main responsibilities of this role. First to manage people and processes to ensure that scientific research support projects are delivered on time and produce the desired result. Secondly, to manage and implement Ripple Effect’s talent acquisition strategy to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs.

Responsibilities:  

• Coordinates internal and external resources for execution of projects that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. 
• Manages multi-disciplinary project teams providing mentoring, oversight, and managing performance. 
• Oversees the development of deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality. 
• Manages the relationship with client and all stakeholders, establishing and maintaining relationships with external consultants, vendors, and partners. 
• Contributes to proposal writing and technical solutioning for relevant projects and may lead sections. 
• Develops and implements processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of team's operations. 
• Manages and implements Ripple Effect’s talent acquisition strategy which may include social media advertising, sourcing, vetting direct applicants, writing meaningful job descriptions, and career fairs.
• Builds and maintains relationships with recruitment agencies, schools and associations to attract diverse quality talent. 
• Provide proactive communications and deliver high levels of customer service with ongoing contact with senior business leaders, clients, applicants and hiring managers through the hiring process.
• May support a variety of recruiting related administrative and reporting tasks throughout the process to ensure candidates move through the pipeline in a timely manner and identify areas for process improvement.
• Advises hiring managers or clients of strategies that maximize talent pool to hire candidates to support business needs. 
• Actively promotes company externally through professional networks and professional social media channels.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree
• 6 years' experience (or a Master's degree and 4 years' experience), including 3 years of project management experience in a biomedical or health-related research setting
• Proven experience and established networks in biomedical or health-related talent markets

Basic Requirements

• Advanced ability to navigate program’s web-based system such as SharePoint, Teams and other electronic business systems and train others on its use
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Project and people management skills in budgeting, resourcing, planning, tasking and risk management 
• Ability to communicate results simply and effectively 
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external vendors

Skills That Set You Apart

• Master’s degree in related science, health, or other technical field
• PMP or similar project management certifications
• Federal government contracting experience
