Job description
Senior General Ledger Accountant
The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for ensuring that transactions of our business have been properly accounted for and accurately reflect the company's accounting process. The Senior General Ledger Accountant will work under the direction of the Corporate Accounting Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare timely and accurate journal entries in accordance with periodic close schedule.
- Understand gift card accounting process and generate relevant reporting.
- Facilitate preparation and presentation of period close meeting slide deck.
- Accurately reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Develop and maintain an effective control environment on assigned accounts and tasks in accordance with SOX.
- Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external auditors.
- Other corporate accounting and reporting functions.
- Ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus.
- 3-5 years corporate/public accounting experience. Preference towards industry experience with consumer-based, multi-site operations such as food & beverage (restaurant), retail, hospitality, or other consumer-based businesses.
- Understanding of relevant areas of GAAP including revenue and expense recognition, gift card accounting, etc.
- Experience with major ERP system. Oracle Fusion and/or Microsoft Great Plains preferred.
- Experience with account reconciliation software (T-Rec, Blackline, etc.) preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Unquestionable integrity, ethics and credibility.

Compensation Range: $69,100.00 - $95,050.00
