The Mental Health Worker role is part of a special group assigned specifically to our large hospital client and performing the same duties in an acute care setting. We are seeking PART TIME candidates.

Job Summary
The Allpoint Mental Health Worker (MHW) is a registry employee who takes assignments with contracted facilities to provide MHW clinical services in areas of contracted facility need. It is expected that an Allpoint MHW is comfortable with and experienced in working with patients who suffer from Mental Illness or Substance Abuse Disorders. MHW is able to provide care in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. Specific areas of responsibility include baths, toileting, nutritional support/assistance, rounding, monitoring of patient vital signs/pain, ambulating/transferring/transporting, observing/reporting patient behaviors, ensuring safety/security, monitoring for contraband. The appropriate applicant for this role is able to participate effectively in psychiatric emergency code or crisis situations and is able to react quickly in a crisis situation, while being therapeutic in their approach to crisis intervention. Applicant has effective communication skills both written and verbal, as well as able to work collaboratively with a team.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of a 1 year working in a Mental Health inpatient or emergency treatment setting.
- Must have BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Must have working knowledge of working with patients who suffer from Mental Illness
- Must have working knowledge of working with patients in psychiatric crisis and de-escalation.
- Must be certified in Workplace Violence Prevention and Management.
