Job description
Want to leverage your data & analytics skillset while influencing strategy and business decisions within a newly formed, entrepreneurial team? The Walmart Local Marketplace team is looking for a strategic, analytical leader to establish the data infrastructure and reporting cadences to measure the business , drive actionable insights and recommendations to our Business , Marketing, and Product teams, an d incorporate into our strategic vision and roadmap.
You will develop a deep understanding of the Local Marketplace business model, customer funnels and journeys within Walmart’s platform and external entry points , and evaluate key opportunities to drive customer traffic, increase conversion and ROI, and optimize the customer and seller experience. You will partner closely with central data and analytics teams to lead analytics programs and ad hoc deep dives. You will support our team’s quarterly and annual planning and forecasting processes, providing the data tracking and insights to set KPIs, report out on progress , and developing read outs for leadership. This is a unique opportunity for a data-driven individual to build a new Business Intelligence function within the business team , working closely with Business, Finance, Product, and Marketing leads to plan and execute our strategic vision.
About Walmart Local Marketplace
The Local Marketplace team is a newly formed business team within Walmart Marketplace chartered with building and scaling new ways for customers to conveniently shop the local business and products they love within the Walmart app and Walmart.com.
You Will Be Successful If
You have experience setting up analytics and reporting infrastructure from scratch, partnering with business leads to define requirements and drive actionable insights
You e nable fast decision making across the organization by aggregating, analyzing & synthesizing data from multiple sources
You have supported business review cadence s to summarize past performance, develop key insights, opportunities, and recommendations
You have a proven track record of storytelling through data to influence business strategy, gain stakeholder buy-in and drive outcomes
You understand the local ecommerce landscape and the last-mile delivery space. You are constantly looking for ways to set us apart from the competition and are passionate about retail tech.

What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree , d egree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Applied Math, Computer Science, etc.) preferred
5-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics at consumer technology companies or relevant experience in Consulting or Strategy & Operations
2-3 years people management experience
Experience with SQL (e.g., Google BiqQuery ) & data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
Highly organized, experience program managing complex initiatives across stakeholders (business, tech, and marketing) to manage timelines and deliver results. Conveys a sense of urgency to motivate others and achieve goals.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 4 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area. 2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position.
