Job description
Role: Process Control Engineer
Duration: 12-month Contract
Location: West Mifflin, PA, 15122
Position Overview:
We currently have an opening for a Software Engineer in the Process Control Division. As an integral part of this highly skilled, innovative team, you will play a significant role in supporting our digital transformation and system modernization strategy while providing critical services to our production operations. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of digital solutions and process control systems.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to and support our digital transformation
Contribute to our digital transformation by participating in the design, development, configuration, and deployment of digital solutions
Participate in, and/or lead high-impact projects that provide financial benefits and result in improvements to safety, quality, and / or production yield
Work closely with the operations teams to understand requirements and identify improvement opportunities; translate into project specifications, including work estimates and forecasted benefits
Design and maintain highly available and error-resistant applications and systems that support Edgar Thomson Operations
Play a key role in the new design and maintenance of modern supervisory systems
Requirements:
Software Engineer / Developer with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience developing in Java, C, C#, R, and/or Python. Knowledge of the Visual Studio IDE. Comfortable with both Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
