Position Overview As AVP of Asset Data Quality, you will lead critical aspects of operations for data quality/ data governance and vision, by promoting and implementing all aspects of data quality including the implementation of the Business Glossary and Metadata Management for the Asset data within the organization.
Job Responsibilities - Develop and build strong working partnerships across functions, business and technology to align priorities and track progress on execution of the data quality program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the investment space to ensure the implementation of the right set of data quality rules based on business rules.
- Establish definitions and ownership for data elements while identifying critical data elements (CDE’s) in partnership with the data stewards.
- Implement and define the metadata process for data elements based on clearly defined data sources.
- Develop broad and detailed understanding of end-to-end data flows and the critical data elements across systems: create, maintain, and socialize metrics of master and reference data.
- Develop the Data Quality Exception Management process to address effective resolution of data quality issues. This includes investigating, analyzing, and resolution of production data quality issues.
- Generate ideas and create detailed plans for tactical and strategic solutions; Work with development teams, both internal to GA and external data providers, to resolve Investment data quality issues at the source.
- Partner with IT teams to integrate Data Quality Management across all data domains
- Be an effective liaison between business users and technical users – understand business reporting requirements for certification of data sources.
Qualifications - Previous data quality experience in the financial industry
- Proficiency with tools & technologies, including SQL, Amazon Redshift, Hive, Tableau, Jira/Confluence, Mendix, etc.
- Proficiency in working with a Data Governance tool such as Collibra.
- The ability to work independently and master investigative skills around data metrics are essential.
- 10 plus years in the financial service (investments/asset management) industry is a plus.
Top Skills - Expert knowledge of SQL and working knowledge of databases, master and reference data, data lineage
- Ability to read and understand code, write pseudo-code, and create algorithms
- Proficiency creating visual diagrams, data flows, and PowerPoint presentations
- Ability to analyze and document issues, quantify impact, create, and track tasks and subtasks in Jira
- Expanded knowledge of Investments and Asset Management domains
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to clearly communicate with business, data stewards, IT development team and vendors.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City.
The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. Global Atlantic’s
base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.
The base salary range for this role is
$110,000 — $209,500 USD
