Position Summary The unit provides short-term care for acute care needs. The care team strives to provide a quiet, peaceful environment where the patient and family can focus on quality of life. Patients can receive curative treatment such as, but not limited to dialysis, routine medications and therapies while managing the symptoms that are associated with their illness or injury. Patients eligible for Hospice services may also receive care in PCU when the symptoms become unmanageable at home.
Responsibilities Palliative Care- Symptom Management ( Symptoms may include: (Agitation, Anxiety, Dyspnea, Nausea, Pain,etc.

Minimum Requirements - Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.
- Basic Life Support is required.
