Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable, detail-orientated senior web developer to join our company. The senior web developer's responsibilities include communicating with clients to determine website specifications, creating schedules and providing quotes, writing code, working with a team of designers and content writers, as well as assisting with recruitment and training of all new junior web developers. You should be able to provide excellent customer service, understand written and verbal instructions, and stick to deadlines and budget constraints.
To be successful as a senior web developer, you should be innovative and demonstrate a passion for technology. Outstanding candidates are deadline-driven self-starters with superb customer skills.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in web development technologies and frameworks, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular libraries or frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- Strong skills in backend development using languages like Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java
- In-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including the ability to create, configure, and manage AWS resources such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
- Experience with AWS services for containers, such as Amazon ECS Fargate or EKS.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based architectures that are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
- Familiarity with serverless computing concepts and experience with AWS Lambda or similar serverless platforms.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, including AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and integration with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of AWS security services and best practices for securing applications and data on AWS
- Familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and AWS Config.
- Experience with AWS load balancing solutions like Elastic Load Balancing (ELB).
- Knowledge of AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) configurations and network architecture including AWS Route 53
- Strong web application development skills, including UI design, responsive design, and frontend technologies.
- Knowledge of web development frameworks and libraries.
- Database design skills, including entity-relationship modeling.
- Ability to work on both frontend and backend components of web applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Effective documentation skills for code, database schemas, and technical decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and product managers.
- Experience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership in projects.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and the ability to lead Agile teams.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and 5 years experience or MA/MS degree or higher and 3 years experience.
- At least 5 years (Seasoned Senior) working as web developer with AWS experience
- Strong experience in Angular, Kendo UI, Okta, Amazon Corretto, AWS Cloud Technologies, AWS RDS, AWS ECS, AWS Cloud Watch, AWS CloudTrail, Amazon SES, AWS S3 Storage, AWS WAF, AWS Route 53, AWS Availability Zones, AWS KMS
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting work.
- Experience authoring and tuning SQL queries and stored procedures on MySQL and Oracle
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks Using Git and version control
- Experience with wireframe and diagnostic tools
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
