CHC Helicopter has an opportunity for a Category Coordinator Manager . This position is responsible for leading a team of coordinators and buyers responsible for successfully executing against aircraft demand. This role supports the Category Manager in achieving goal and objectives by reducing costs, improving efficiency, eliminating waste and overall improvement within the category. In this role, the Category Coordinator Manager will also be able to demonstrate leadership, influence and managerial behaviors both internally (direct reports, stakeholders) and externally (suppliers).
- Manage, assist, develop and train staff with daily coordinator activities
- Accountable for developing and maintaining weekly/monthly reports for management.
- Monitor and provide coaching on team KPIs/scorecards related to order placement, monitoring, and timely delivery of assigned portfolio
- Lead process improvement projects, within department or cross-functional, as needed
- Review overall category portfolio with required stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Ensure the procurement of new and or replacement components are made to the best commercial prices and terms of delivery;
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost and leverage alternative sources and PNs usage
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency within respective category
- Ensure contractual obligations including but not limited to ordering within lead time are adhered to
- Coordinate the execution of orders based on customer requirements, ensure all orders are issued to the respective default vendors.
- Support with issue resolution for complex issues raised by team of purchasers and buyers
- Coordinate with the inventory/planning group to ensure a proper stock/pool/components to support contracts established with customers.
- Review/approve quotes within delegation limits
- Ensure contract leakage is monitored and primary vendor usage enforced
- Liaise with vendors on quality issues in support of safety and quality requirements
- Attend regular OEM operational meetings / conference calls, monitoring the supplier’s performance.
- Participate in vendor discussions in regards to Performance/KPI’s as needed
- Resolve invoicing issues for finance through communication with vendors
- Employees must comply with and adhere to all company policies
- May perform other duties as assigned
- International travel may be required
- Degree in Management/Logistics or equivalent education, training and experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience i.e. Logistics, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Category
- Logistics/supply chain experience within a global environment
- Strong computer skills including Excel and experience with inventory management systems
- Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutions
- Ability to lead in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills across all levels of Supplier and CHC management including executive level Strong group and one-on-one presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with a global, virtual team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated Initiative and proactive approach to complex business environment
