The Enterprise Applications team is looking to hire a Financial Systems Manager to spearhead the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems organization-wide. This environment revolves around Peoplesoft paired with several other applications ranging from mainframe-based to cloud-based that tie into the retail workflow. This is a full-time direct-hire position that will be hybrid on-site at their locations in the Reading, PA area.
As the IT Financial Systems Manager, you own the company’s assorted financial systems environment and take the lead on any related projects. Working closely with the VP of Applications, Enterprise Architects, and the leaders from the Finance team, you will map the strategic vision and technical roadmap for the Financial Systems environment. There will be a small team of 2-3 developers/systems analysts that will report to you directly, and you will also coordinate/manage the partner company that supports their Peoplesoft environment.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the financial systems
Build and maintain strong partnerships with the finance team
Provide support to users of the financial systems
Conduct regular reviews of the financial systems to ensure they are meeting the needs of the organization
Work with other IT teams to ensure that the financial systems are integrated with other systems
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in financial systems technology
Work with the technical team members to deliver features and new systems
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or a related field
5+ years of experience in financial systems, with experience in PeopleSoft preferred (specifically AR, AP and GL modules)
Strong understanding of financial systems and processes (both technically and functionally)
Exposure to various ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
Experience with both on-prem and cloud-based financial systems
Experience with data analytics and reporting -- (SQL-based reports as well as native Peoplesoft reporting would be preferred)
Experience with system security and compliance (particularly around cloud, but most of it is managed by the infrastructure team).
Experience with project management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
