We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon to join our dynamic healthcare team in Pontiac, MI. As a full time member of our surgical department, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional trauma and acute care services.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree and completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
• Fellowship training or significant experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.
• Board certification in General Surgery.
• Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities:

Trauma Surgery : Perform a wide range of trauma surgeries, including emergency procedures for complex injuries. Demonstrate expertise in managing critically ill and injured patients.

Acute Care Surgery: Provide acute surgical interventions for a variety of urgent and emergent conditions, such as abdominal emergencies and sepsis. Collaborate with medical teams to ensure comprehensive acute care for surgical patients.

Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans for trauma and acute care patients. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to optimize patient outcomes.

Collaboration: Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to the development of trauma and acute care protocols.

Education: Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and healthcare staff in the field of trauma and acute care surgery. Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma and acute care and share knowledge within the team.
