We are currently seeking an Associate Technical Designer , who is responsible for assisting with the technical design process for all seasonal products.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work with Technical Designer to manage patterns and fit for all products working directly with in house pattern making and factories.
• Measure, analyze, and comment on prototypes with factories to ensure that quality, construction, specs, and fit are aligned with brand needs.
• Partner with Designers to provide detailed product initiations for product development, including tech pack, spec drawings, pattern and fit direction and fabric information.
• Create patterns, mock-ups and prototypes as needed to explore, resolve and prove new concepts or construction techniques.
• Utilize Browzwear V-Stitcher to review patterns and assist in rendering development in 3D.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the materials and manufacturing techniques that are utilized by the brand.
• Ensure all product technical specifications have clear and up to date documentation in PLM system.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Apparel, Textile Engineering, or a related area. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in apparel technical design: garment construction, patterns / fit and textiles, as well as experience communicating with factories and across language barriers.

Other qualifications include:

• Demonstrated project coordination experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Knowledge of apparel and engineering processes with strong technical and creative skills.
• Hands–on experience creating tools and construction methods to assist in solving construction issues.
• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Illustrator, and Gerber, Lectra or equivalent pattern software. Browzwear V-Stitcher a plus.
