The Minnehaha County Planning Department invites applications for Park Workers to perform general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of park buildings and property at Wall Lake Park. This is a seasonal, part-time position for through the summer and fall months. Flexible scheduling with options for weekdays and weekends up to 20 hours a week!

Secure your seasonal job soon! Our interviews are casual and will be conducted in person or virtually to allow flexibility for those currently located outside of Minnehaha County.

This position will remain open until filled. Review of applications will begin on March 11, 2024.

SALARY: $18.15 Hourly

How You Will Make an Impact

Assist the Park Supervisor with a variety of tasks for park maintenance at Wall Lake Park and Bucher Prairie. Duties include, but are not limited to operating push and riding lawn mowers, collecting and disposing of leaves and branches, cleaning picnic shelters, bathrooms, and beaches, stocking bathroom supplies, and removing trash and debris from park grounds. 

What You Need to Succeed in this Role

High school diploma or GED. Applicants must be the age of 18 by the date of hire. One year of previous experience working in a similar environment. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.  Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
