Job description
Are you an engineering professional looking to help drive projects and strategy for a strong and steadily growing multi-national company? Our client is looking for a dynamic Estimating Engineer. Their primary responsibility is to provide accurate and comprehensive estimates for various projects, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the industry's standards, regulations and client requirements. This role requires travel to US client locations about 10% of the time.
Estimating Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive proposals for client requests
Develop the technical solutions (P&IDs, flow diagram, etc.) that align with the entry information from the quotes
Develop detailed cost estimates for engineering projects, considering materials, labor, equipment and overhead costs
Utilize historical data, industry benchmarks and cost databases to ensure accuracy in estimating
Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of project goals and constraints
Prepare clear and detailed proposals outlining the scope of work, cost breakdown and project timelines
Estimating Engineer Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred
Proven experience, 2+ years in an engineering capacity within the food, beverage, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals industries
Intermediate knowledge of P&ID’s
Excellent organizational, leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
