HOLIDAYS: Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed
FLOATING: Within facility and to sister campus if needed COMPLIANCE: Full compliance required to start on time, if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit doesn't accept first time travelers PATIENT POPULATION: Adults to Geriatrics UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC & SBAR UNIT DESCRIPTION: This position will be hospital float pool staff and will be expected to float throughout the hospital. Nurses in this role will be caring for post surgical, medical, PCU stepdown on IP units and ER as hold patients. Competencies for these services as well as critical drips will be expected. Ratios are 1:4-1:6 depending on patient acuity. Vent management, intensive/critical care and ED experience PREFERRED so RN can be utilized fully as a float pool staff member.
