Job Summary:
The Customs Compliance Staff Member is responsible for providing expertise with export and import activities in reaching business objectives. He/she will be responsible for our ensuring that ANC stays in compliance with all import and export regulations and controls administered by US Government agencies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline (or) Equivalent experience
- Customs Broker license or training certifications
- 5 years of experience in a related import/export environment requiring knowledge of HTS classification procedures.
- Intermediate analytical abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills
- A working knowledge of US Customs programs such as ISA, C-TPAT etc.
- Computer skills - Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access skills
- Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule of US
- Knowledge of US Customs and Border Protection Laws and Regulations
- Must be a self-managed individual who has the flexibility to thrive in a fast paced
- Manufacturing experience (with knowledge of engineering change documentation)
- Ability to interpret automotive parts design drawings
Core Accountabilities:
- Maintain knowledge of local regulations in regards to Customers
- Ensure ANC compliance with all customs regulations
- Identify potential areas for continuous improvement or cost savings
- Maintain a positive relationship with suppliers, internal staff, and other vendors
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures that processes are in place and continually assessed and improved to maintain compliance with global and regional import and export compliance requirements
- Ensure that tariff codes and previous customs documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Coordinates with Production Control, Engineering and other internal departments to ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Coordinate with U.S. Customs during validations and periodic revalidations
- Conduct audits of export and import transactions and customs information.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance documentations.
- Manage company carrier compliance to Customs programs and other international logistics functions.
- Responds to any communication or inquiry from customs regulatory bodies, customers, and/or suppliers on matters relating to import/export compliance requirements.
- Act as the company representative in dealings with USCBP and its agents.
