As manager of real-world evidence, you will plan and execute evidence generation strategies using real world data (RWD) to articulate patient unmet needs and overcome market access barriers. This individual acts as a business partner/consultant with cross functional leaders and staff within Edwards, to collaboratively achieve business goals and objectives. This position reports to the Sr Manager of Real-World Evidence.
Work Schedule: This is a remote role for US based employees. Those within driving distance from our headquarters in Irvine, CA will be onsite 4 days a week.
How you will make an impact:
With the real-world evidence lead, develop, and execute analysis plans for assigned studies.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate and operationalize data requests.
Develop study design and endpoint operationalization.
Develop analytic specifications as necessary to ensure the accuracy of the planned and completed analyses or basic exploratory analyses.
Perform data mining and ad-hoc analyses to explore evidence-based business insights.
Create customized reports to translate research findings and provide insights for stakeholders to make business decisions.
Provide analytic, statistical and data visualization support for internal reports, posters, podium presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
Assist in authoring results sections of the study reports, abstracts, and publications.
Keep abreast of new developments in statistics, data visualization, and device & drug development through literature review and attendance at workshops and professional meetings.
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's degree in a life science, public health, health policy, statistics, health informatics, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of analytic experience in statistics, data science or outcomes research OR a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience
Strong project management skills
Effective in building trusted business relationships
Proficient with SAS and/or R
Sound knowledge of applied statistics
Excellent written (business and technical) and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Experience with data manipulation and cleaning
Experience with longitudinal data analysis, GLM, survival analysis, propensity score matching
Experience with RWD analyses (e.g., claims, EMR, administrative data, adaptive clinical trial designs)
What else we look for (Preferred):
Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MSc, Ph.D.) is highly desirable
Experience with managing vendor relations and project timelines for RWE projects
Exceptional project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially presentation development
Ability to balance strategic thinking with intricate planning and strong tactical execution
Experience with advanced analytic methods (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing)
Experience with SQL, Python or other programming languages
Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization software
Participated in peer-reviewed journal publications
Understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies coding and coverage; health policy trends, and current business challenges
Previous experience in, or strong working knowledge of the medical device industry
Experience working with external stakeholders such as payers, hospitals, physicians, trade associations, professional and medical organizations to develop mutually beneficial evidence generation strategies and tactics to support portfolio planning, commercialization, and sales/marketing objectives

For Colorado, the base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
