Business Development Manager Description:
TCI Global Logistics is searching for a talented and experienced Business Development Manager for our Non dedicated trucking and freight sales department. We need a self-motivated professional with proven commercial experience and an outstanding track record in sales. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting our annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
Your duties will include soliciting new business, designing and implementing strategic sales plans, and assessing market rates and competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prospect and close new business nationally with an emphasis in leveraging our physical presence in your local market.
- Work closely with Account Manager team in Dallas to ensure brokerage growth rates are met and customers receive exemplary service.
Other Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets. Meet with sales managers monthly to assess performance and adjust plan.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty. Assess reporting and performance needs and KPIs and share routinely with customers.
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives and communicate/ collaborate with sales reporting. Review and asses appropriate level of communication and reporting that salespeople require to understand TCI and Customer performance.
- Rate lanes and assess costing models to ensure acceptable, agreed upon profitability and growth targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years relatable experience.
- In-depth knowledge of direct sales and marketing techniques and best practices.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
