Job description
The Process Engineer will carry out process engineering and design work for our projects for various clients across the process industries, including refining, petrochemicals, chemicals and alternative fuels. The primary focus of the position will be to carry out detailed process design under guidance and mentorship of a senior Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will work closely with inter-disciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Carry out Process Simulations (Hysys or Aspen Plus)
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s).
- Develop Heat and Material Balances
- Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3 years of relevant experience as a process engineer in refining, chemical processing or alternative energy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience in process simulation
- Prior experience in development of PFDs and P&IDs
- Solid Microsoft Office Skills
Preferred Requirements
- Working knowledge of process equipment
- Working knowledge of process instrumentation
- Experience in sizing relief devices
- Strong working knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamic principles
- Experience with AutoCAD
