Symbia's Senior WMS Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing our warehousing and transportation processes by managing, analyzing, and enhancing the functionality of our Warehouse Management System and Transportation Management Systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in logistics, a deep understanding of WMS and TMS technologies, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- WMS/TMS Implementation and Integration:
- Lead the implementation of Warehouse Management System and Transportation Management System solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of WMS/TMS with other enterprise systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of system configurations to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
- System Configuration and Maintenance:
- Configure and maintain the WMS/TMS to meet the specific needs of our 3PL warehousing environment.
- Implement system updates, patches, and enhancements to improve overall performance.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytic tools to generate actionable insights related to warehouse and transportation operations.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- User Support:
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
- Collaborate with IT Helpdesk to address and resolve system-related issues.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in WMS and TMS technologies.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and processes.
- Become a subject matter expert in our WMS/TMS environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems in a 3PL environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard WMS/TMS software. Experience with Deposco is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in system configurations.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, understand logistics needs, and provide solutions.
- Strong coordination skills, collaborating with internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This role may require occasional off-hours support and on-call availability.
- Deposco training or certification is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Sedentary work. This position will be seated most of the time and will contain repetitive motion.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Close visual acuity is expected to perform activities like preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading.
- Must have the ability to lift and/or carry small parcels or packages, and other items, short distances.
- Some periods of time may be spent in a designated computer/IT space with communication equipment for installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Repetitive movements are a big part of our environment, so you will need to be able to use your hands and feet simultaneously.
- We are a logistics company, so it is a warehouse environment. If on the operations floor, you may be exposed to occasional extreme temperature shifts ranging from very cold to very hot.
- There can be exposure to loud noises and dust in environments outside of our office spaces.
