6 MONTH INTERNSHIP. AVAILABILITY FROM JUNE THROUGH DECEMBER IS REQUIRED.

The Communications Intern is responsible for providing tactical support to the DLE Communications team, developing and implementing communication plans, messaging, and activations that support business objectives, and effectively engaging internal and external audiences. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting various DLE Communications and Walt Disney Public Relations / Public Affairs goals and objectives.
Producing compelling visual and editorial content for DLE social media platforms.
Taking the lead in running the DLE social content calendar and optimizing the social media process flow.
Providing valuable writing, graphic, and communications strategy support for DLE tactics.
Actively participating in on-site rehearsals and photo/video shoots as needed for new projects.
Experience using social media and video editing software.
Strong presentation, writing/positioning, and editing skills.
Strong computer proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Proficient in AP Style, grammar, and punctuation.
Proven track record in maintaining confidential information and collaborating with team members at all levels, including executives.
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills; confirmed ability to meet deadlines.
Prior Disney Parks Cast Member experience.
Possess basic iMovie or video editing experience.
Bring an entertainment background (Costume, Theater, Choir, Dance, etc.) to enhance our creative team.
Senior or recent graduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within six months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program (DCP) or Disney Internship.
Be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or DCP.
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 through January 2025. Interns will work 40 hours per week (onsite in Orlando, FL) and must be fully available throughout the internship.
