Position Purpose We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team to assist throughout our peak season. This role will assist in managing our online community, fostering engagement, and creating content across channels. The Social Media Marketing Intern partners with the Digital Marketing Coordinator to assist with developing and implementing the company’s brand strategy, along with supporting timely and professional responses to inbound messages to ensure our customers feel heard and valued. This internship position provides valuable hands-on experience for those interested in a future in digital marketing. The ideal candidate should have a passion for social media, digital marketing, and excellent professional communication skills.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities - Manage social media accounts, including creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging and relevant content across various platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, etc.) to increase brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner, addressing customer concerns or inquiries and escalating, as necessary.
- Research and analyze social media trends, industry news, and competitors' activities to inform content creation and engagement strategies.
- Assist in developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns, including creating and scheduling social posts, coordinating influencer projects, and monitoring campaign performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate social media and digital marketing efforts, aligning with overall marketing and brand strategies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential target audiences and suggest strategies to reach them effectively.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media and digital marketing metrics and KPIs to measure the success of campaigns and provide insights for optimization.
- Stay updated on social media and digital marketing best practices, industry trends, and platform updates, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the effectiveness of our social media and digital marketing efforts.

Requirements SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts and tools, such as email marketing, content creation, and social media advertising.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media management tools or platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Passion for staying up to date with the latest social media and digital marketing trends and eagerness to learn and apply new skills.
