The Assistant Director, Managed Care Analytics, provides operational leadership that drives best-in-class analytic products and services. This role leads analytic product development and service delivery across assigned state-government contracts to oversee the quality and efficiency of care delivered by managed care organizations (MCOs). This role also leads a diverse team of analysts and programmers located across the US.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Fulfilling contractual requirements for reporting and analytics by leading the creation of state-of-the art reports, dashboards, and exploratory environments.
- Understand and apply complex approaches and methodologies to performance measurement.
- Review high priority analyses, reports, and programming for accuracy, completeness, and efficacy of messaging.
- Proactively apply investigative skill and analytic methods.
- Use advanced understanding of analytic / programming tools to apply and teach data structure, automation, and reporting best practices.
- Participate extensively in managing requirements and testing for analytical tool development.
- Mentor, coach, and guide staff regarding business objectives and analysis approaches.
- Ensure deliverables are consistently on time and demonstrate best practices and collaboration on projects.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, tenacity for accuracy, and willingness to constructively criticize proposals or results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following analytical tools: SQL, SAS, Tableau, R, Python, MS Access, and MS Excel.
- Ability to distill complex data into meaningful, insightful information through data scrubbing and analysis techniques.
- Ability to manage staff who use a broad array of analytic tools, including SQL, SAS, Tableau, R, Python, MS Access, and MS Excel.
- Experience in the health care ecosystem, including understanding the relationship between payers and providers, and how analytics enables transformation.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts orally and in writing.
- Experience managing client relationships and growing internal relationships.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors’ degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Data Science, Economics, Math, Computer Science or related field, required. Masters’ strongly preferred.
- Three (3) years of healthcare experience focused on analytics, required.
- Experience leading teams of analytic professionals, strongly preferred.
The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $95,000.00 – $115,000.00. Actual salary range and/or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
