Job Summary:
Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee all financial operations for our resort in Tucson, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within the hotel/hospitality industry, as well as excellent management and leadership skills. The Controller is an Executive Committee level position.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting for the resort
- Manage and mentor an Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to senior management
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales, reservations, and operations, to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall business objectives
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and other partners to support the resort's financial operations
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as other financial reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to financial activities
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the growth and success of the resort
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position in the hotel/hospitality industry
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Proven track record of managing and developing a team
- Proficient in MS Office and financial management software
- CPA Preferred
