Develops cost estimates for Capital Projects and major programs. Establishes and administers cost estimating and processes/standards. Develops and administers the Cost Engineering Management of Change (MOC) process. Develops, generates, and analyzes cost reports and forecasts in coordination with other Cost Engineering and Project Services groups.


Supports clients/customers and assists with functional projects under regular supervision. Has a general knowledge of the work function.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Turnaround Cost Analyst through 03/22/2024 at 11:59 p.m. CDT

The Turnaround Cost Analyst (TCA) will have cost ownership of multiple projects and will manage the cost related activities from project conception through closeout. TCA needs to understand Primavera, SAP, SMART GEP, TRACK and Maximo and their interfaces with the cost programs. TCA will review and provide capital vs. expense work and Solomon classifications to the project managers. TCA will compile all contractor estimates to develop the Class III estimates for capital and expense projects on the turnaround events. TCA will review all staffing plans with the execution team to ensure staffing is at optimum levels to support the turnarounds. TCA will also review contractor estimates to ensure adherence to contractor’s rates, terms and conditions. TCA will provide monthly actual, cash flow, forecasts and variance reporting for their projects. TCA will work with turnaround schedulers, planners and management to review and manage headcounts during turnaround execution. TCA will provide daily cost reporting to the management team during execution. TCA will document all lessons learned from all Phases of turnaround planning. TCA works with contract partners to get final cost forecasts and invoicing completed as soon as possible after turnaround completion. TCA will work with others to adopt digital tools as rolled out for use and provide feedback to product owners.
