Job description
We are currently seeking a Superintendent to join our team. This position is responsible for providing overall direction and oversight of construction projects, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical and interpersonal skills, and have prior experience in construction, safety, and the building trades.
Position Overview: As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing overall management and oversight of various construction projects, from pre-construction through close-out. You will supervise and coordinate work crews, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project. Additionally, you will take responsibility for all safety and quality control operations. You will be expected to understand and implement all applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all activities related to the construction project including, but not limited to, layout, permitting, scheduling, safety, cost control, and quality control.
- Ensure that all project activities comply with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
- Monitor and manage budget, cost projections, and actuals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all activities adhere to safety regulations.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, as required.
Qualifications:
- Five years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Experience with HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, Construction, Piping, Ground-Up, Hospitals, Healthcare, Hospitality, Correctional, AHCA, Sports and Entertainment, OSHA, ADA Code, Journeyman Certification, SR is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong budgeting and cost-control skills.
