Job description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Cardiac Perfusionist - Adult, Pediatric & Neonate

Shift : Days / 6a-2:30p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, M-F, rotating weekends

Length : 26 weeks

Call response time: 45mins; Weekend and nights

On call (to be determined how often of if they will take call)- come in between 12p-2p and stay until 7:30p or when the OR is done and then be on call for that night. Not on call for first 2-3 months. May be interested in someone working 4 days per week and staying longer

Holiday expectations - 1 major, 1 minor

Requirements:

• Must have 3-5 years of Cardiac Perfusion experience
• Prior travel experience
• Can assist with Pediatric and Neonate cases as needed, as well as Adult
• Active CCP (Certified Clinical Perfusionist) certification
• AHA BLS

Other :

• Float- as needed
• Will be doing adult, pediatric and neonate cases
• Have auto transfusionists that cover cell savers
• Have an ECMO department that will sit ECMO- will put patient on ECMO and then hand off to the ECMO team
• Common cases/Diagnosis: Most cases are going to be CABGs, valves, occasional minimal invasive valves- bulk of what would expect a traveler to be doing in the beginning.
• Also do a lot of ECMO procedures and heart and lung transplants.
• Do all cases here except liver transplants
• Cardiohelp ECMO machine- common machine, travelers should already be familiar with
• Cell saver & Hepcon machine- should already be familiar with
