Job description

Job Title: Model N Consultant

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Model N Consultant to join our team. Model N is a revenue management software used primarily in the life sciences and technology industries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Model N solutions and revenue management processes, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. As a Model N Consultant, you will collaborate with clients to implement, customize, and optimize Model N solutions to meet their unique business needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their business requirements and objectives related to revenue management.

  2. Solution Implementation: Lead or support the implementation of Model N solutions, including configuring the software to align with client requirements, integrating with existing systems, and ensuring smooth deployment.

  3. Customization and Enhancement: Customize and enhance Model N solutions as needed to address specific client needs, such as developing custom reports, workflows, and validation rules.

  4. Training and Support: Provide training to client stakeholders on the use of Model N software and best practices for revenue management. Offer ongoing support to address user questions, issues, and enhancements.

  5. Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful implementation and deployment of Model N solutions within budget and schedule constraints.

  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and technical support, to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to clients.

  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and updates to the Model N platform. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization of revenue management practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Model N Revenue Management certification) is a plus.

  2. Proven experience (X years) implementing and configuring Model N solutions, particularly in the life sciences or technology industries.

  3. Deep understanding of revenue management processes, including pricing, contracting, rebates, and compliance considerations.

  4. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools. Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is advantageous.

  5. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex implementations from inception to completion.

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.

  7. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and delivering practical solutions that drive business value.

  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  9. Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed (approx. X%).
