Who are you?
Application Architects lead the technical design and implementation of complex, integrated, enterprise class applications. You will work closely with fellow team members to understand customer business requirements and build and deploy innovative online ecommerce and CPQ solutions using the latest web technologies. You are an expert in multiple technical subject areas and an invaluable resource to any project. This will be a 100% remote position.
What you get to do:
- Serve as a mentor and technical resource to Pierce Washington software engineers in the implementation of their projects.
- Lead implementation of the solutions across all layers of the technology stack, including front-end DOM, CPQ application platform, webservices, protocols, network security and user authentication layers.
- Translate business and technical requirements into an overall solution that is robust, scalable, and extensible.
- Conduct performance tuning and diagnose/resolve obscure technical compatibility issues.
- Proactively anticipate technical risks and design/implement error handling and other mitigation techniques to ensure system stability and security.
- Improve best practices in terms of code architecture, unit testing, database, and technical designs available to the Pierce Washington engineering team.
- Perform quality assurance on large projects, including areas of estimations, design, architecture, and coding.
- Participate in and prototyping broader product designs going across modules and projects.
- Suggest and implement third party libraries and software in the product.
- Responsible for overall performance and scalability of delivered applications and projects.
What you bring to the role:
- Experience implementing enterprise solutions supporting Quote to Cash business processes, including CPQ and eCommerce implementations.
- Deep integration experience with a variety of tools and technologies, including integration to a variety of CRM and ERP systems.
- Understanding of the systems development life cycle, including experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies
- Expertise in the following technologies: jQuery, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Python, XSLT, XPATH, CSS, SOAP, JSON and relational database concepts & SQL.
- Seven years of professional experience required; excellent software development skills. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Ability to meet client travel requirements as needed.
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics from a reputable four-year university.
