Salesforce Strategic Events produces the world's best technology events that are the envy of the industry! Dreamforce is the largest software conference on the planet and is regarded as an industry standard. We also produce events across the US and globally to engage and activate our enthusiastic customers and prospects. Salesforce is seeking a hard-working Director, Events Marketing & Enablement to join our team.
We're looking for a self-starting teammate with a “can do” attitude who is passionate about working with Sales, has solid collaboration and communication skills, is eager to learn, and has proven experience driving effective Sales Enablement strategies with measurable results.
Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive enablement strategy across the global event portfolio
Responsible for delivering audience acquisition goals in collaboration with Demand Generation
Enable Sales teams to deliver event registration, know and speak to value, and ultimately leverage events to drive company revenue goals
Responsible for developing the pricing strategy across the event portfolio
Responsible for developing a discount strategy, overseeing cross-functional distribution and accountability
Develop comprehensive tools that enable event registration, onsite preparedness and post-event follow up
Champion and drive process with cross-functional partners to ensure post-event reporting and follow up is impactful
Collaborate with the Global Enablement & Strategy team to holistically leverage events as core marketing tenant
Develop sales incentives to drive registration and increase seller accountability
Act as main point of contact for Sales organization, Field Marketing and Event Agency partners
Act as Event evangelist, presenting strategy and value on large cross-functional team calls
Manage and troubleshoot registration reports and dashboards with Marketing and Agency partners, finding opportunities for automation & streamlining processes
Report on & communicate registration, promotional code redemption, allocation usage, inventory rates, and sales efficiencies
Lead the Events Enablement team
Qualifications And Skills
10+ years of experience working in Events or Field Marketing with an emphasis or background in enablement, event marketing, or sales development
Proven track record managing and coaching teams
Exceptional project and time management skills – highly organized, detail focused, results oriented, and accountable
Excellent interpersonal skills with a solid ability to deal professionally with senior executives, vendors, and team members at all levels of the organization
Strong storytelling, public-speaking, and presentation skills including the ability to create & deliver slide decks and clear, concise communications for Sales audiences
Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and work within deadlines on highly visible events
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Familiarity in development and management of registration revenue and discounting models a plus
Innovative problem solver who is comfortable recommending new ways to motivate the Sales organization
