Overview:

Migrant Education personnel are professionals who work with an externally funded program in connection with the division's multitude of outreach and engagement activities. The Migrant Education Program ( MEP ) is delivered under contract with the Illinois State Board of Education. The Migrant Education State Recruiter is the state recruiter for eligible migrant children throughout the State of Illinois. Employee will travel throughout Illinois (travel is reimbursed) and must be bilingual in English-Spanish.

Position Summary:

The Migrant Education State Recruiter is responsible for identifying andinterviewing grant-eligible children. Will work with school districts, socialservice providers, migrant programs and employers, and others. Will learnand stay current with all Federal and State regulations; responsible forrecruiter training programs. There are several recruiters geographicallylocated in places where migrant families typically are employed – thisposition is the state recruiter who is responsible for the other areas of the state. This position is grant-funded.

Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 Commensurate with experience and qualifications. NIU offers a robust Benefits Package.
