Job description

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Development, the Gift Processing Associate will be responsible for managing the timely processing and acknowledgment of all gifts, pledges, pledge payments, matching gifts, memorial and tribute gifts, stock donations, gifts-in-kind, and other contributions. Working with Development colleagues, s/he will process acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders and respond to donor calls and emails about donations. S/he will be responsible for database updates and working to maintain a high level of data accuracy. They will be sufficiently knowledgeable about our donor database, Raiser’s Edge, as well as credit card processing and prospect research systems.

Responsibilities

· Process and acknowledge all gifts, pledges, pledge payments, stock gifts, matching gifts, memorial gifts, in honor gifts, and other contributions to the school in a timely manner.

· Ensure data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing database clean-up efforts.

· Maintain and update biographical information in Raiser’s Edge, including, but not limited to new donor records, name and address changes, and coding.

· Provide social media and e-communications support for alums and Development staff.

· Conduct daily news searches using print and electronic resources to both proactively identify prospects, update research on existing prospects, and update records accordingly.

· Works with the Director(s) to research prospects through avenues of social media, LinkedIn, IWave, Windfall, and other research platforms.

· Maintain volunteer records and support volunteers in their work in the Development Office.

· Assist with collecting and editing Class Notes for the monthly newsletter and bi-annual magazine.

· Support the Development Department with fundraising events.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director of Development and the School.

High School diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.

· 1-2 years of related work experience in an office environment.

· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively with co-workers, donors, volunteers, and the public.

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Exhibit good judgment and the ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

· Experience working with Raiser’s Edge and/or a database a plus.

· Affinity for fundraising and working in an educational environment.

· The position will require occasional night and weekend work.
