Job description
Responsible for providing accounting services for the corporation and maintaining its financial records in compliance with all federal, state, local, and professional requirements by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports financial statement preparation and performs analysis and account reconciliations.
- Monthly sales and use tax reporting utilizing Avalara.
- Collects and analyzes data about the company’s operational costs.
- Analyzes inventory cost standards.
- Corporate credit card reporting and analysis.
- Report writing utilizing Power BI and SyteLine.
- Reconciles bank accounts.
- Assists with the annual external financial statement audit.
- Understands and acts as a backup for accounts receivable functions completed by the Staff Accountant.
- Understands and acts as a backup for accounts payable functions completed by the Staff Accountant.
- Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Transactional support to other company departments.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Required
- Three plus years related experience and/or training in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accounting software, inventory software, internet software, Microsoft Office software, and order processing systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting capacity.
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Above average math skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience utilizing SyteLine, Power BI, Avalara software tools.
