Job Summary
For those interested in Fabricator role, then this is the perfect job for you. You will be responsible for fabrication of work piece as determined by work order specifications. Additionally, you will need to frequently bend, stoop, and reach.
Job Description
- Examine specifications of order using blueprints, drawings, and/or work orders, to determine characteristics of finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
- Fabricate work piece as determined by work order specifications.
- Examine work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
- Comply with all company policies, rules, guidelines, and behavior expectations.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Other duties as assigned
Skills Required
- A minimum of one year of sheet metal fabrication experience, or six months of experience with related trade school certification
- Knowledge of tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of machines such as press brake, punch press, fiber laser and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the fabrication of sheet metal products.
- Frequent bending, stooping and reaching.
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions.
- Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Additional Requirements
- At least eighteen years of age
- Manual dexterity and standing for extended periods of time
- Adhere to all PPE requirements
- Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents
- Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common machine shop auditory stimuli
- Smoke free workplace
- Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm
Pay Rate/Salary
- $17.00 - $22.00/hr depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and / or location.
