Job description
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Government Financial and Contracting Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA), staff organizations, and over 200 Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) within the Army, Navy, and Air Force. As part of the Enterprise Portfolio Management and Monitoring Services (EPMMS), you will play a crucial role in managing a substantial number of contracts, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the COMPASS team to perform various tasks including data extraction, entry, analysis, quality control, training, and reporting.
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of data submissions for the EPMMS Program Manager and team members.
- Utilize government contracting and financial systems to extract, validate, and reconcile data, contributing to business practice improvements.
- Consolidate and aggregate data, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or gaps.
- Conduct initial quality control checks and document any errors for resolution.
- Support human capital management (HCM) module and workflow data entry as needed.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide training to government staff on COMPASS capabilities and functionality.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Associate's degree with three years of experience in government finance or contracting; or four years of direct experience in the field may substitute for a degree. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification such as CDFM or similar is desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial or contract management information systems such as GFEBS, WAWF, EDA, CRIS, DEAMS, ABSS, STARS, or similar government systems.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for a US government-issued security clearance.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
